Details of the Post Street Attack

Surveillance Footage Captures the Incident

The harrowing sequence of events took place on February 28 at an apartment building situated on the 500 block of Post Street. Court evidence and statements from the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office revealed that Plummer approached a female resident’s apartment around 12:11 p.m. while wearing a black balaclava mask and wielding a hammer.

Surveillance cameras captured the moment Plummer attempted to force his way inside immediately after the victim opened her door. The brave victim fought back in self-defense by pushing him away, yet Plummer persisted and swung the hammer directly toward her.

During the escalating altercation, video footage clearly showed Plummer pushing the victim multiple times and grabbing her neck with both hands. He also punched her once in the chest before momentarily leaving to aggressively kick down the door of a different apartment down the hall.

Plummer then retrieved his dropped hammer and returned to approach the victim once more in a menacing manner. The overwhelming video and physical evidence presented during the trial left little doubt for the members of the jury.

Legal Proceedings and Community Response

Prosecution and Justice Served

Assistant District Attorney Ahmanda Lee successfully prosecuted the case with dedicated support from the San Francisco Police Department’s Central Station. Their collaborative investigative work ensured that all crucial evidence was properly documented and brought before the court.

Following the delivery of the guilty verdict, Assistant District Attorney Lee publicly thanked the jury for their time and careful consideration. She strongly emphasized that violent conduct will never be tolerated within the city of San Francisco.

The swift accountability seen in this case underscores the ongoing commitment of local law enforcement to protect residents from unprovoked acts of violence. Community members can rest easier knowing that dangerous offenders face immediate legal consequences for their actions.
