Transcendence Theatre Company Presents Broadway’s Best Night Ever – June 12-22, 2025

Transcendence Theatre Company’s “Broadway’s Best Night Ever” lights up Jack London State Historic Park from June 12-22, 2025. They turn the park into an open-air Broadway experience, honestly, it’s kind of magical.

Professional performers from Broadway and beyond belt out hits from over 40 musicals under the stars. It’s theatre meets Wine Country, and the vibe is equal parts artistry and outdoor charm.

Event Details

The show runs for ten nights in June 2025, Thursday through Sunday each week. Every evening kicks off with pre-show picnicking at 5:00pm, and the main event starts rolling at 7:30pm.

Plan for about 3.5 hours total, intermission included. It’s a full night out, not just a quick show.

Schedule and Location

They stage the performances in the old winery ruins at Jack London State Historic Park in Glen Ellen. You’ve got natural acoustics, and the Sonoma Valley vineyards as a backdrop—pretty hard to beat.

  • Thursday, June 12 – Opening Night
  • Friday through Sunday performances for two weekends
  • Thursday through Sunday for the final weekend
  • Closing night: Sunday, June 22, 2025
  • Ticket Options

Tickets come in three tiers, each with its own perks:

  • General Reserved: $35-$65 per person
  • Premium: $95-$125 per person
  • Gold: $175 per person
  • There are early bird deals and season subscriptions if you want to save a bit. You’ll need to reserve tickets in advance on the Transcendence Theatre website.

    What to Expect

You’ll hear musical numbers from Broadway’s best-loved shows, all performed by pros with Broadway chops. The show mixes solo acts, group numbers, and dance—it’s not just one style all night.

    Pre-Show Experience

The picnic area opens at 5:00pm, and you’ll find local food vendors, wine tastings, and live music. Lots of folks bring blankets and picnic baskets, but you can also grab prepared food there.

It’s a great time to explore the park before you settle in for the main show. Honestly, wandering around with a glass of local wine is half the fun.

    Performance Style

This isn’t a traditional Broadway show with a single storyline. Instead, you’ll get a curated mix of musical highlights, all tied together with some loose themes.

Past productions have featured songs from Hamilton, Wicked, Les Misérables, and other Broadway favorites.

    Planning Your Visit

Since it’s all outdoors, you’ll want to plan ahead. Even in June, Glen Ellen evenings can get chilly once the sun dips.

    What to Bring

  • Warm layers—temperatures can drop 15-20 degrees after sunset
  • Low beach chairs or blankets for the picnic area
  • Cash for vendors and parking donations
  • Wine glasses (plastic cups are provided, but hey, glass feels fancier)
  • Practical Considerations

Parking’s available on-site for a suggested donation of $10. Spaces go fast, so carpooling really helps.

The venue is ADA accessible, but watch out for some uneven ground. Staff are around if you need help with seating or accessibility—just ask.

This show kicks off Transcendence’s 2025 summer season. There are two more productions running through September 14.

People tend to snap up tickets fast. If you want good seats, don’t wait too long.
