About Crystal Bowersox

Crystal Bowersox started performing in local clubs by age 10. Even as a kid, she showed serious musical dedication.

She moved from northwest Ohio to Chicago, sharpening her skills while busking and juggling odd jobs. American Idol’s ninth season put her in the national spotlight and kicked off her recording career.

Musical Accomplishments

Since her 2010 debut album Farmer’s Daughter on Jive Records, Bowersox has built up a solid catalog. She’s released:

  • Three full-length albums
  • Two EPs
  • Multiple singles
  • A theatrical rock concert called Trauma Queen (still in the works)
  • She’s collaborated with notable musicians and played benefit shows for causes she cares about. Bowersox stands out as both an artist and an advocate, which isn’t all that common.

    Opening Act: Marcus Trummer

Marcus Trummer brings youthful energy but stays grounded in blues, soul, and classic rock influences. The Calgary Herald called him “a precocious guitarist whose vocals possess a wise-beyond-his-years weariness.” That’s a pretty good way to put it.

    Rising Star

Trummer’s still early in his career, but he’s already turning heads in the blues world. Some of his recent highlights include:

  • Nomination for “New Artist of the Year” at the 2022 Maple Blues Awards
  • Winner of the 2023 Telluride Blues Challenge in Colorado
  • His set gives the audience a chance to catch an emerging talent right next to an established artist. It’s a cool contrast.
